Frequently Asked Questions

We understand that not everyone may be familiar with a mobile hydration service, and that there a lot of questions that are going to come up - rightfully so.

If our FAQ doesn't answer your questions, feel free to give us a call at (775) 273-8816, or an email at codeivmobile@gmail.com.

What is mobile IV hydration?

Mobile IV hydration is a wellness-focused service that delivers fluids, electrolytes, nutrients, vitamins, and other supportive medications directly into the bloodstream through an intravenous (IV) infusion. Our team travels to your home, hotel, office, or event location within the Reno–Tahoe area.

Is this a medical treatment?

No. Code IV Mobile Hydration provides wellness-focused hydration services. We do not diagnose, treat, or cure medical conditions, and we do not replace primary medical care.

If you are experiencing a medical emergency, please call 911 or visit the nearest emergency department.

Who performs the IV infusions?

Infusions are performed by Nevada licensed Registered Nurses (RNs) or Nationally Registered Paramedics (NRPs) who operate under physician-directed protocols and safety standards. Code IV Mobile Hydration is a physician-delegated service.

Is this safe?

Safety is our top priority. Before any service is provided, we conduct a brief intake and eligibility screening to help determine whether hydration services are appropriate for you.

If hydration therapy is not appropriate based on your health history or current condition, services may be declined for your safety and you will be refunded your deposit.

What should I expect during my appointment?

Your visit includes:

- A brief review of your intake form and screening criteria

- Review of your selected hydration package

- Comfortable IV placement

Relaxed infusion time while fluids are administered

- Removal of IV and post-visit guidance

We aim to make the experience professional, calm, and comfortable.

What if you can't find a vein?

In the case that our staff cannot find a suitable vein to perform the IV hydration with, you will be refunded the full amount of your deposit and will not be charged for the visit.

In the future, we hope to obtain a portable ultrasound machine in order to help us ensure that a suitable vein can always be located.

Do you accept insurance?

No. Code IV Mobile Hydration is a cash-pay wellness service. We do not bill or accept insurance, Medicare, or Medicaid.

Payment is due at the time of service unless otherwise arranged.

What areas do you serve?

We provide mobile hydration services throughout the Reno–Tahoe region. Travel availability may vary based on scheduling and location.

If you're unsure whether you’re within our service area, please contact us prior to booking.

Can anyone receive IV hydration?

Not everyone is eligible for IV hydration. We only service clients that are 18+. Further, certain medical conditions, medications, or health circumstances may make IV services inappropriate and unsafe.

All clients are screened prior to service. Code IV reserves the right to decline services when necessary for safety.
